This country is teeming with wildlife with over 10 protected areas in a country the size of Great Britain. Some of the wildlife endemics are the endangered mountain gorillas found in the rain forest regions of the border of Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In Uganda these rare gentle giants are found in Bwindi impenetrable forest and Mgahinga national park. These offer tourists the chance to do gorilla tracking tours, a major tour attraction for those visiting the African continent.
